What the free allowance covers
A normal check begins by reading metadata that is already inside the uploaded file: camera fields, editing software names, Content Credentials, provenance markers, and known generator signatures. When those details are inconclusive, FauxGuard uses a third-party visual detection model to look for generative and manipulation signals.
The free allowance is designed for evaluation rather than continuous monitoring. It gives enough room to test a real photo, a generated image, and a manually edited file. The allowance applies to the browser in use and is not a paid entitlement or a shared account limit.
What paid API access is intended to include
Paid API access is intended for teams that need predictable monthly capacity, clear usage reporting, stable authentication, and a documented support path. These plans are not available yet, and no charge can be made from this page.

Why is there a free daily limit?
The daily allowance keeps the detector available for normal one-off checks and prevents automated requests from using the shared capacity.
Can I use FauxGuard for commercial use?
The free detector can be used for commercial research, but it is not a compliance or forensic service. Production use should include human judgment, document retention, and an appeal process. API access is not available yet.
What happens if my free quota runs out?
The detector returns a clear limit message and links back to this page. The allowance resets each day.
